These days are not the days we once saw. Clearly. So much has changed. I have to go through my list of  “remember when” junk, Just so i can note the changes that every change in life made on our eating and shopping habbits.

I remember people who smoked while shopping for groceries.  Sometimes your buggy would get stuck skidding because it locked up on a smooshed butt on the floor.

I remember when McDonalds, Wendy’s and Burger king all had the same vendor for their ashtrays. Some times you would find the ashtray from one establishment inside the other.

I remember when the mere concept of  ketchup coming out of a tiny little hole like our squeeze bottles, was insane.  It took forever to get ketchup out of the big opening.

I remember when soda bottles were made of glass. There was broken glass everywhere.  One of my friends was walking with her very young daughter who kept kicking off her shoes. My friend said to her ” Babe keep your shoes on, or you might step on glass” . The child had a puzzled look on her face as if to say ” mom???? glass?  like a window?? why would a window be on the ground???”  Makes sense. The kid never has and never will see broken glass on the ground in shards that can cut her.

I remember having to add little bottles of lead to our gasoline. Now that step has been replaced with octane booster and engine treatments.

I remember sharing a beer with my father when I was like 5, while driving  to a camp site.

I remember seeing Fred Flintstone Smoking a cigarette.

The forgotten history, the past no one talks about.

I never finished this. but here  let’s see what you add to it.
