I took a second trip to Trader’s Village Houston for this weekend. It was a fun trip again. This time I explored better and there were more people to mingle with. Hundreds more people this time. Read about Trader’s Village day 1. I had to make a second visit to locate some of the hard to locate items. To shop for the unshopable. To buy rare items and have fun while doing it. Okay to flirt with stray women
I stopped in at a guy’s booth where he was selling old stuff.
My dad gave me an exact collection like that one when I was a child. I do not remember what happened to it.
This man had some very old very rare money. If you want to read more about Confederate money.
I wish I could have picked that up, but it was far out of my budget.
This is what actually caught my eye and made me stop there. I wanted a picture.
Money from back when Texas was it’s own country. Post Mexico ERRA, Pre-Usa Time.
After i moved on I made my way to the far back. The area that was previously closed but now opened as an entertainment area. There was a live a band playing.
I have no idea what kind of notoriety you can get by playing there. It was a country and Southern Rock band, and well…. 95% of the people there spoke only Spanish.
I walked around a bit, made a post or two on Gowalla.
I came across what looked like a family selling business cards, shirt printing and signs. They have a pretty cool little spot. Right in the big middle.
Most of their example signs were lawn care and the like.
I saw that he did silk screening and shirt prints so I had to get me a shirt made.
Tell me that’s not cool… If you do, I will have to disagree.
Yeah I was spamming my Job Search Site while I was there.
All together. This was a good visit and walk about. I enjoyed it very much.
1 shirt, 1 big slice of pizza and 1 bottled water $19.75.
