A friend of mine has decided to go into the dog breeding business. I think this is a great idea. I personally have spent time playing with some of the puppies. These things are as cute as puppies (ok pun). The oldest is around 2 months and documented with all the paperwork. This dog sites, stays, lays down and looks like he is ready to learn another trick. I was told this training was purely without treats snacks or use of toys. I am impressed by this but have no idea what that is like. Seems every dog I ever knew was around so many kids and adults, it had no choice to not be as fun as possible, but not what I would want. I myself have become a cat person. Playing with these dogs puts me back on the understanding that dogs can actually be trained for purposes other than tracking bombs wanted villains from movies or other weird military like lifestyles. Those types of dogs just seem to not really be able to have a life they can enjoy. but the puppies that are being by my friend seem to be somewhere between both directions. More on the military minded but not so much they aren’t fun. These dogs actually fetch. They stay when requested. Somethute about seeing the smaller ones pop through the shag carpet as they pounce each other while we were talking about his plan.
The whole time I was there, the oldest one was just sitting there watching us talk. It was weird to me because it looked like he was waiting for someone to say “ok dude go play” but it never really looked at the other puppies. I am not used to that.
Well I have to say that a white lab is a cute dog. I just think my 22 lbs cat would scarf one down before it got big enough to defend it’s self.
