Floods of Houston Starting

Looks like Lake Houston Opened their dams again. Normally when they do that it floods really bad. When lake Houston’s levels get too high, There is a need to open the dams.

There is a guy that lives near cypress creek, his house gets wiped out and his horses learn to swim when dams cause a flood. The flooding is so common that some of the near by Residents have learned to make due with the situations of the floods. This year and last year he was given police escorts (??) . Meaning police showed up blocked traffic and let the man pull his horses off of his property in a trailer.

It’s coming Straight for us!

Boat Speeding

Oh, nope there it goes This guy was doing about 60MPH on his boat. He passed right under the bridge. I am assuming his riders had to duck. The water was way over it’s banks and very close to the bottom of the bridge.

Cypress Creek Flooded

That has to be at the least 15 feet over it’s normal levels. As you look near the narrow area. That is about how wide the creek normally is. The lowest limbs on those trees back there are usually about 20 feet above the water.

Every year the 6 mile area gets reduced to one exit. The flooding usually takes place at the start of Summer. but today’s flood was a record breaking flooding. This was the most rain fall in our area for July 2nd since 1918. so that says something.  Supposedly we hit our margarine for the month. Looks like a fun year. Maybe a day or two off? .. LOL no chance. There is one exit to the area that never floods over the roads. so it will be a normal year for me and the gang that lives near me.
