Houston Councilman Arrested

Looks like news is reporting that a south Houston Councilman has been arrested. Reports are stating something about bribery.

Houston hasn’t seen any big new like this in a few years.

    From Houston Chronicle

Authorities tell KHOU that Councilman Roberto “Robert” Garcia allegedly offered a South Houston detective thousands of dollars for security camera video of a May 26 car accident involving Garcia’s 21-year-old son, but the officer refused and called the District Attorney’s Office. The crash reportedly occurred on the Spencer Highway.

Garcia has been charged with bribery of a public official, reports say.

Looks like Houston has finally started cleaning house.
Bribery allegations are pretty tough. Especially when arrested by a district attorney.
